His Preparation

1 Corinthians 2:9
"However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” the things God has prepared for those who love him."

It has been many months since I have looked at this blog, since I have read through this blog. My last post was in June 2011. I was in a dead end job, newly dating someone, living in an unsafe apartment and lost to where God wanted me. I love updates so here is a quick one before I go into today.

In July I lost that dead end job, in October I was given another job, but in the most difficult enviroment I had ever been in. In January 2012 I was blessed with an amazing job that I am in to this day. I am surrounded by fellow brothers and sisters, have a wonderful boss and am doing something that I enjoy and helping good people. In May 2011 I began dating a wonderful man that I met on Match.com. Almost 9 months later,we are together and very much in love. In March of this year I will be moving to a wonderful apartment that is very close to work, church, my friends and to my boyfriend. God's blessings come in abundance, but all in His timing and I thank Him every day for the blessings and the trials in my life.

In 1 Corinthians 2:9 Paul is speaking to the church in Corinth. I understand this verse better than I ever have and I understand what he is telling the church. God's love, grace, blessing and peace is beyond what our minds can conceive. They are beyond what we can see or hear. We can not imagine them. Take your best dream, I'm talking about the one where you would rather stay asleep than be awake. Now attempt to multiply that by an infinite number. That is how big His love, grace, love, peace and blessings are! We can leave everything behind and realize that His blessings and His abundance is enough! Casting Crown's most recent album "Come to the Well" has many amazing songs, but the one theat stands out to me is called "The Well". When we come to Him, when we are thirsting for Him and His Word we can be sure we will see His blessings.

The hardest thing for me is waiting on these blessings. Today I was chatting with a girlfriend and she was unpdating me on her life. About 3 months ago she went through a horrific and devestating breakup. This man was preparing to propose when he left her without warning. I know this friend well and I know how she has been waiting for the blessing of a husband (I think even more than me). On this earth, all we can see is the smaller picture. All we can see is what is in front of us. All we can hear is what we are being told now. We cannot see the bigger picture yet. We can not see the blessings that He has for us as daughgters just yet. All we can do is love Him and trust in Him and we WILL see the blessings that will come out of the storm.

God prepares us daily for His blessings. For the past month I have been involved in a Monday night Bible Study that is discussing FEAR. During the Bible Study this week we discussed the fear of failure. As women we fear failure. We fear failing again after we have failed before. The person that was discussed was Peter. Jesus had to prepare Peter for the blessings that were to come. Peter denied even knowing Christ three times! Three times I denied knowing his God, his Savior. That is failure. That is a failure no one can imagine. But this was all part of God's preparation. Peter went on to be the foundation of the church in Jersulaem. He went on and died a marytr's death on the cross being crucuifed upside down. His failures we his prepartation for the blessings and promises yet to come.

We have to understand that we can only see a glimpse of everything that He is and has for us. All we have to do is love Him. How sweet and calming is that? All we have to do is follow Him, love Him and kneel before Him and we will see His blessings through our love and obedience. I challenge you today. I challange you to love Him more than anyone else on this earth. To praise Him in the middle of the storm. To give Him your fear. God has blessed me with an angel on this earth, yet I still fear rejection and abandonment. I still fear he will leave me for someone better. I praise Him during this storm. I give Him my fear knowing He is so much bigger than it all and that His plans are perfect and Satan cannot touch me when I am surrounded by Him and in His arms. I pray that you can do the same. I pray that you can give it to Him. Listen to "Angel" by Casting Crowns... this is one of my many prayers. Put your prayers to music. You have no idea the peace that is can bring. Make one of your own. Praying for you sweet friends.

For Him and for His Glory,

Cassie
