Day Eleven: Been a while...

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

How many times a day are we anxious about something? Really think about it. I can tell you, for me, it's more than I can count on my hands and feet. I tend to worry and stress. I let the stress take over my mind and have a very hard time bringing the focus back to God and letting Him take control. I tend to feel selfish sometimes. Selfish in the way that I am coming to God with my problems and they just seem to always be something I have got myself into. I tend to forget that God wants my problems. That God wants me to trust him with all my heart.

What's funny to me is God has blessed me with the chance of knowing and feeling His peace and comfort when I have given it to Him. When I have been brought to my knees, head to the ground and in sobbing tears I have felt His peace and comfort wash over me. Yet, I still fear giving it all over to Him. I don't mean just saying, "Here God. Here is all my troubles and worries. Here's my money worries, apartment worries, relationship worries, job worries... here is all of it." I am meaning REALLY giving it to Him. Fully surrender it all. Let it go and know that God, the God who created the heavens and the earth, has it all in His hands and won't let you fall.

"Cast all your anxiety on HIM because HE cares for YOU." 1 Peter 5:7 (CAPS mine)

See what is in CAPS there? He cares for you. The God who created everything and fills our lungs cares for you and me. Nothing is too big for Him. Nothing is impossible for God.

"Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

"... but with God all things are POSSIBLE". God can do it. God can takes your cares from you. As I said, HE WANTS TO! God can give you the desires of your heart. He knows what they are. You just have to give it to Him.

"Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4

God knows our hearts, we just have to let Him in.

I am known to let my anxiety rule the outcome of my day. I will honestly say my Monday and Tuesday of this past week were ruled by stress and anxiety. I had so many things running through my head that no matter how many times I repeated scripture, it just wasn't sinking in. I cried. I went to the bathroom and got on my knees and prayed, but nothing was working. I couldn't give it all over to Him. I still am having trouble with that. I have seen God take a lot worse from me. I have given way more than just this problem to Him, but it's like I don't think God will handle the same things again. It's like I'm bothering Him.

I am now laughing at myself because I just re-read what I wrote.

I'm bothering God... really?

As I have said, and I am needing to take my own advice here, give it to God. The relief you will feel will be so amazing that it will transcend all understanding. Go back to the top and re-read Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard yours hearts AND minds in Christ Jesus." (CAPS mine). The peace of God will be there to protect your heart and mind from the wicked thoughts Satan loves to put in our heads.

Out of all my blogs this one, just seems shorter, but it could very easily become redundant. So I will end when I am.

My challenge to you today, if you have anxiety, give it to Him. Get on your knees and give it all to Him. He wants it. Let Him take it and handle to for you. That proves you strong, not weak. I will be doing the same thing. Will you? Praying for you my friends.

In Him and For His Glory!
